The world according to HPI

The map scales countries according to HPI and population, such that countries with high HPI scores and large populations appear bigger than countries with lower HPI scores. Thus Mexico does not appear much smaller than its neighbour the USA, despite its population being only almost a third the size.

The map was presented at an exhibition organised by the Centre for Health and Wellbeing in Public Policy at the University of Sheffield in December 2009.
