About the data
The map shows the overall scores from the second global compilation of the Happy Planet Index, colour coded by country based on its traffic light score on each of the three components of the Index. Arrow over each country to see its name and HPI score in figures.
Note that a country’s colour and its HPI score are not directly related (see page 25 of the HPI 2.0 report for more details).
You can download the complete data file containing overall scores for HPI 2.0, as well as component results and HPI data over time for selected countries.
